Profile

Due to our growth, we are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Data Architect to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management and visualisation development, with a proven track record of designing, implementing, and maintaining data solutions that meet business requirements.

Responsibilities

· Define technological solutions to meet information needs and design business data models and data solutions like Data Lake, Data Fabric, and Data Warehouse solutions.
· Develop standards, principles, and reference architectures for data solutions, and implement data governance frameworks.
· Specify ETL pipelines, data integration, and data migration approaches, and configure data strategy and enterprise data architecture.
· Collaborate with IT teams and management to design a data strategy that addresses industry/organisational requirements, and integrate technical functionality like scalability, security, performance, data recovery, and reliability.
· Constantly monitor, refine, and report on the performance of data management systems, and maintain a corporate repository of all data architecture artifacts and procedures applying DevOps rules with IaC and Terraform.
· Analyse and translate non-technical user requirements into written report specifications and existing data sources.
· Develop visualisations with tools like Power BI, specialising in developing graphs that best fit the required analysis.
· Analyse data sources to ensure completeness, timeliness, and accuracy of data, and recommend improvements to current processes.
· Coordinate with UI/UX designers and back-end developers to create a seamless user experience with Power BI.
· Design dashboards with Power BI and automate reporting.

Requirements

· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
· 5+ years of experience in data management, architecture, and visualisation development.
· Strong expertise in AWS analytics platform, Power BI, Power BI Embedded, and Azure.
· Experience in data integration solutions using technologies like Power BI, Power BI Embedded, and Azure.
· Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
· Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools like IaC and Terraform.
