Are you looking for your next challenge in a technical sales role?
As a Technical Sales, you will be focused on handling complex incoming customer requests with an efficient and customer-oriented approach. The aim of this role is to support development and increase of our Aftermarket Industrial team.
In this role, the ideal candidate will need to bring previous experience in a technical sales role and speak fluent English, since this person will have daily contact with Sales Representatives and Sales Engineers across EMEA.
This position is part of the Aftermarket Specialist team and will be located in Terrassa (Barcelona), with 60% of remote working.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Process complex customer inquiries on pricing, lead-time, product offering, complaints so that the Aftermarket Sales Reps, Sales Engineers, and Service team can maintain excellent customer relationships
- Handle technical inquiries and provide information to resolve problems, clarify maters or expedite progress on any aspect of the request received
- Issue quote preparations for non-standard requests within set price and discount levels, to help the Aftermarket Sales Reps and Sales Engineers to convert opportunities into sales
- Gather cost and technical data of special and standard components when requested, to accurate quotation package
- Negotiate with subcontractors for supply of subcomponents, services, and accessories
- Initiate and support products requests from customers for items not released yet
- Establish key communication link between internal department (AFM Sales, Sales Engineers, Service Sales, logistics, business development, product management, engineering team, finance) to keep all involved parties focused on customer needs
- Market / Product Intelligence: Distribute client feedback on quality, new projects, budgets, and competitor information to the appropriate department to improve and quality and increase sales opportunities
- Strong product and application knowledge to enable suggestions to find the right solution for a non-standard inquiry
- Contribute to the knowledge base to find the correct spare part in the most efficient way
Your profile:
- Higher education in a technical field is preferred
- Previous experience as a product specialist or in a technical sales role
- Fluent English is a must - also German or French would be a plus
- Detailed-oriented person with an analytical mindset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Availability to travel occasionally
