Our customer, dormakaba, is a Swiss/German multinational that has operated all over the world for more than 150 years and is one of the leading providers of innovative security and access solutions for selected segments of the fast-growing security industry.

They will hire the selected candidate as an internal and permanent employee, based in Madrid, but providing services to their global organization.

Description of the position

They are looking for a Java / Web experienced Full-Stack Senior Developer who will be part of a team of developers based in Madrid in charge of IAS software development, maintenance, and security consultation.

Key tasks

-Software development (Java, JavaScript, React, SQL).
-Implementing secure development lifecycle, and web security know-how.
-DevOps for software platform and database system.
-Execution of deployments.
-IAS Business Analysis support to Product-Owners.
-QA tasks (unit tests, test automation).
-Following and spreading agile development ideas (Scrum, KANBAN).

Working experience

Long-term experience (min. 7 years) in the same or similar functions.

Key accountabilities

-Establish a secure development lifecycle.
-New Features & Change-requests.
-Documentation & Support to Product-Owners.
-Rollouts reliable & automated.
-Peer Reviews & Tests (unit, integration, test automation).

Education and training

University degree or equivalent in technical College or relevant related experience.

Mandatory skills

-A broad knowledge of software patterns, OO-design and 3-Tier architecture.
-High experience/know-how of Java Development, especially with Spring & Hibernate frameworks, and also with Soap/REST (XML, JSON).
-Good experience/know-how in Javascript development with React.
-Good knowledge of SQL and especially Microsoft SQL Server.
-High control on tools like maven, git, IntelliJ...
-Real experience with Docker, Kubernetes & Azure cloud services.
-Experience with security tools/frameworks for Web Development.
-Experience with Architecture & Design, proving he/she can select reasonably new frameworks/libraries if needed.

Valuable skills

-Experience working in Scrum/Agile teams, ideally with JIRA/Confluence
-Experience/know-how with Windows & Linux.
-Knowledge of SAP ERP.
-Knowledge/experience developing Java Swing.
-Real experience with DevOps, for example having designed/maintained Jenkins pipelines

Languages

-Spanish: Native language, otherwise business fluent.
-English: Very good Business English required (excellent communication skills).

Job location and work permit

Madrid. European Union citizen; otherwise, a valid job permit is mandatory. Some travel will be needed, mostly to the headquarters in Zurich.

Working from home

100% remote if desired, except for some occasional meetings or workshops with colleagues from Germany or Switzerland.

Salary

Depending on knowledge and experience.
